Ext. Marketing helps financial services firms achieve their marketing strategy, communications, and regulatory objectives – on time and on budget. Our clients are based in Canada and the U.S. and include tier-one banks and insurers, mutual fund companies, credit unions, as well as hedge funds, private equity and venture capital firms. We are a full-service agency with services ranging from market commentaries, to white papers, to infographics, branding and websites.
About the Position
You will report to ext.’s VP, Delivery & Client Success. You are a strong team player with experience in financial services, digital marketing and account management. You have a client-first approach and are a champion of communication and connecting with others. You take ownership of a project’s entire life cycle, communicating and engaging with key stakeholders to ensure that delivery is on time and executed with excellence. You understand that nothing gets done without a team of people, and you build strong relationships to drive successful outcomes. You know how to manage successful projects and win the trust of clients and prospects. You have sound decision-making skills and an ability to understand the strategy and business needs. At the same time, you are willing to roll up your sleeves to ensure that the work gets done.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Manage client projects and support senior managers on more complex projects, including digital and capital raising campaigns.
- Communicate effectively with both the internal team and clients to ensure the smooth delivery of each project. Drive tasks and deliverables forward with each of the major departments: Communications, Creative Studio & Digital, creating a seamless process between Ext. Marketing and the client.
- Create workback schedules for all projects for internal and client-facing purposes.
- Manage all delivery dates and updates to project plans.
- Managing invoices with the Client and Ext. Marketing’s Finance team
- Assist in the project setup, monitoring, tracking and closing process.
- Lead and assist project and resource management (depending on project complexity).
- Participate in Delivery Team meetings and Media Team meetings.
- Update and maintain applicable lists, logs and databases.
- Capture project close data; analyze client survey intake.
- Lead and participate as appropriate in communications, digital & creative meetings.
- Assist in the development of Ext. Marketing’s pitch books, proposals & estimates (where applicable).
- Mentor/share knowledge with team members, other Ext staff.
- Provide quality control support to ensure materials are client ready before presenting.
- Understand the scope of work and communicate to both the internal team and clients when suggestions or assets will need to be priced out separately. Know when to loop in Sales for further support.
- Manage activities relating to media account processes: intake forms, deadlines, account access, pre- and post-launch, optimization, and reporting.

Required Skills & Experience
- 5 + years’ experience in financial services marketing and/or digital marketing or media agency experience.
- Strong communications and presentations skills.
- Experience working with executives and building strong long-term relationships.
- Action-oriented professional with an entrepreneurial, self-driven attitude, who can effectively deal with responsibilities.
- Demonstrated commitment to learning – especially about the financial services industry and digital media landscape.
- A strong focus on client service with the ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and client satisfaction.
- Degree in business, finance, marketing or digital marketing is preferred.
- Team player with excellent communication capabilities (written and oral); an essential ingredient of your success is the ability to partner and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Skilled at Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and requests professionally, escalate issues as appropriate.
- Extremely strong time management, organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Experience and/or knowledge of marketing, the financial services industry and managing media projects is strongly preferred.
- A keen attention to detail and ability to manage moving deadlines and multiple tasks per project/client.
